Daniel Hoban was proud about his inspired performance in goal for Elgin City in the SPFL Trust Trophy.

Hoban saved a penalty during the 0-0 with Forfar Athletic at Borough Briggs and repeated the feat with Forfar's fifth spot kick in the shoot-out to earn City a place in the third round.

He spoke after the match about his performance and the feelgood factor he had as he made save after save in the tie.

The former Caley Thistle keeper talked about his competition with Thomas McHale for the number one shirt at Borough Briggs.

Hoban said he has high hopes that a new-look Elgin side can develop and improve together this season.
