Video of Elgin City's latest win, and a warning to League Two defences – Elgin City's Dingwall brothers are coming to get you.
Elgin City have completed the signing of Tony Dingwall and he will now join his younger sibling Russell in the ranks of the Borough Briggs club.
The last time Tony (26) and Russell (23) played in the same team, they beat Rangers and Celtic to glory as part of Ross County’s reserve league title triumph a few years ago.
“I hope that’s a good omen for this season with Elgin,” said Tony. “I remember that season well. I was on the bench for the first-team a lot and playing some of the reserve games alongside Russell, who was captain of their team.
“It was a massive achievement to finish above Rangers and Celtic.”
Tony penned a deal until the end of the current campaign to begin his second spell at Elgin, his first being a brief loan stint in 2017 while he was still at County.
He came on as sub in Elgin’s 2-0 win over Stenhousemuir last week, his first competitive action since featuring for last club Raith Rovers in a League One match against Forfar Athletic on March 7.

Raith were awarded the title to step up to the Championship this season, but due to Covid-19 restrictions, they could no longer offer Tony paid accomodation in Fife and he was forced to head back north to the Highlands.
His brother alerted City manager Gavin Price to his availability and the player started training with the Moray club.
“I was just speaking to my agent about what sort of options I had,” he said. “Gavin got in touch and I went in to training and with my wee brother being here, I came in to get a feel for the place and for the club to have a look at me.
“I’m back at home now, working with my dad and it’s all fitting in nicely. I signed until the end of the season and we will look at it after that and see how it all goes.
“There’s a lot of good players here. I’ve played at a higher level before and there’s maybe five or six really quality players here who could play at a higher level.
“If we keep doing what we’re doing and working hard I think we’ve got a right good chance of going up.”
One of those quality players is undoubtedly his brother, who starred in last week’s win and has been a driving force in Elgin’s push for promotion.
“I’ve watched a few of the games online sitting at home and to be honest I’ve thought Russell has been excellent this season,” said Tony.
“He’s a really fit boy and gives the team a lot of energy. The difference this season is he’s adding some goals and assists to his game, which is massive.
“I’ll just have to make sure I get in the team and I’m doing better than him. I can’t have him running the show!”
