Elgin City go top of League Two as Forres Mechanics, Keith and Buckie Thistle record Highland League wins
Elgin City are top of Scottish League two after a 1-0 win over Stirling Albion.
After two matches, City, who won 4-2 on opening day against East Fife, are one of just two teams, along with Peterhead, with a 100 per cent winning record.
Mark Gallagher scored City's goal in the first half of the win at Forthbank Stadium.
Meanwhile, three Moray teams picked up their first victories of the Highland League campaign.
Forres Mechanics, Keith and Buckie Thistle all recorded season-first wins, meaning all of Moray's teams have a win on the board this campaign.
Forres recorded a whopping 6-1 victory over Strathspey Thistle - with the Can-Cans racing into a 6-0 lead at Seafield Park before half-time.
The Forres goals were scored by Kyle MacLeod (2), Jack Grant, Calum Frame, Taylor Thain and Matt Jamieson (penalty).
Keith were Moray derby winners, beating Rothes 1-0 away from home thanks to a goal from Nathan McKeown shortly after half-time.
Defending champions Buckie Thistle - who have a game in hand - also recorded their first victory of the season by beating Huntly at Christie Park.
Jack MacIver's penalty five minutes after half-time was enough to give the Jags a 1-0 victory.
Lossiemouth were beaten 1-0 by Turriff United, with Reece McKeown grabbing the hosts a winner in the 90th minute.
Brora Rangers are now alone at the top of the Highland League after a big 6-2 win over Formartine United at home.
United were reduced to 10 men within two minutes and, despite the score being 1-1 at the break, Brora went on to thrash their visitors.
Brechin City - who were the only other team with a 100 per cent record before today's action - drew 0-0 at Fraserburgh.
Banks O' Dee won 4-0 against Nairn County, with all the goals coming in the second half, and Deveronvale grabbed their first win of the season with a 1-0 success at Wick Academy.
Inverurie Loco Works continued a solid start to the campaign with a 2-0 win over Clachnacuddin at Harlaw Park.
