Moray Golf Club celebrate official opening of new professional’s shop at Lossiemouth links course.





Moray Golf Club professional John Murray has unveiled his new shop at the Lossiemouth links course.

Located next to the first tee of the Old Course, the pro shop was officially opened last Friday with Murray cutting the ribbon at the ceremony.

“The club had discussed and attempted to provide a new pro shop for nearly three decades, so it was a great day to finally have it built and ready for use,” he said.

Thanks were expressed by club captain Chris Pastakia to Moray Macleod, who had come up with sevral designs over the years, courses manager Kevin Thomson and club secretary Stevie Grant for sourcing the financing of the project.

He also thanked his predecessor, Joe Macleman, for his support in getting the project off the ground and club colleague John Watson who served as project manager for much of the build.

Local businesses were also credited for their efforts in helping to create the facility.

The opening was marked with discounts on a number of shop items and package offers on the club whisky available in the clubhouse bar.
