Brodie Castle 10k race won by Moray Road Runners’ James Wilson as 15 seconds separate leading three runners
Just 15 seconds separated the leading three runners in this month’s Brodie Castle 10k race.
Moray Road Runners’ James Wilson reached the finish line first in 32 minutes, 34 seconds to pip club mate James Badenoch by an eight-second margin.
East Sutherland’s Shaun Cumming was third in 32:49.
First female to the finish was Scotland international Jenny Bannerman (37:18) with Moray Road Runners’ Louise Cartmell second in 38:57.
Moray Road Runners also won the male 60+ category with Simon MacDonald storming through in 41:05, also finishing 40th overall in a field of 332 runners.
Host club Forres Harriers also enjoyed success as Susan McRitchie won the F50 category in 44:18, with club colleague Paula Boon third in 47:46.
Another Harrier, Jackie Nicol won the F60 race in 47:35.
An ex-Forres Harrier, Gordon Lennox took the male 40+ prize in 34:15 and was seventh overall.
Moray Road Runners had the second placed F40 in Michelle Slater (41:58) and second M50 in Stephen Carmichael (38:06).
