But club-mate Tyler Sked enhanced his growing reputation with a victory over the current Scottish and British champion Zain Iqbal from Southside Boxing Academy.

Club head coach Paul Gordon said: "His original opponent had been double booked and it looked like he wasn’t going to get to box.

"But then last minute he was offered a fight against the Scottish and British champion who had only lost one bout out of 14.

"Even though Tyler was slightly heavier and has only had seven fights = losing two - they took the bout.

"After a bit of a scrappy start, Tyler got into his swing and started to dominate the fight.

"Even after getting a point deduction for a foul, Tyler still got it on all the judges score cards winning on a unanimous decision."
