A96 in Elgin remains closed after collision between ambulance and pedestrian





The A96 remains closed in Elgin following a collision involving an ambulance and a pedestrian in the early hours of today.

Police said the incident took place at around 3.30am today (Saturday, February 22) near the Reiket Lane junction - with the road having now been closed for more than seven hours.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “The circumstances of this incident are being investigated by Police Scotland. Our thoughts are with all of those affected.”

Road users are advised to use the available diversion route.

Officers remain at the scene and diversions are in place.
