A98 crash near Buckie results in two ‘casualties’ being handed to ambulance service
Two people were taken into the care of the ambulance service after a two-car collision near Buckie.
The crash, which took place on the A98 near Buckie at around 6.30pm on Monday, February 24, resulted in one person being taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin.
Police were called to the divert traffic away from the scene, while two fire appliances and the ambulance service were on hand to assist casualties.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 6.24pm on Monday, February 24, to attend a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A98, between Buckie and Cullen.
“We dispatched one ambulance to the scene and one patient was transported to Dr Gray’s Hospital, Elgin.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: “We were alerted 6.30pm on Monday, February 24, to reports of a road traffic collision on the A98 near to Inchgower, Buckie.
"Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the scene to assist with a collision involving two cars.
"Two casualties were taken into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
"Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe."
