Buckie Boys’ Brigade honour year of success at awards ceremony

A year of endeavour and achievement has been honoured by a Boys’ Brigade Company.

It was a proud - and historic - moment for Rauiri Davidson and Luke Coull when they received their King’s Badges. In doing so they were the first in the North Scottish Area and among the first, if not actually the first, in Scotland to do so.

In order to achieve the honour of the King’s Badge, they have completed 30 hours service to the community, 30 hours Company service, 15 hours of a physical activity and 15 hours of a skill. They also had to attend a completion course at Kincraig.

The evening also saw President’s Badges presented to Ethan Campbell, Ollie Ewen, Nathan Clark and Lewis Cowie.

On hand to hand over the prizes was Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Banffshire Major (Ret) Maurice Gibson MBE and his wife Jayne. Mrs Gibson presented the Anchor and Junior awards.
