Buckie road set for no-waiting restrictions later this week





A prohibition of waiting order is set to come into force in a local town at the end of this coming week.

Over March 28-29, there will be no parking permitted on both sides of the road between North Pringle Street and Banff Street. This is to facilitate ironworks repairs.

Openreach are due to complete work at three addresses on Douglas Crescent in Buckie. Work to install a new fibre broadband duct outside No 3 should be completed by Wednesday at the latest.

Over at Nos 61 and 92, the firm will be undertaking similar work, finishing by March 24.

Nearby, at 78 Raffan Road, Openreach conducting a maintenance dig to provide new service to end user on essential telecoms network. This is set to begin by March 24 for three working days.

At 18 Shearer Avenue, Scottish Water should have started work by the end of the month to bring a stop cock to the surface.

On the March Road West Industrial Estate in Buckie, adjacent to Mayne’s Coaches, Moray Council will be laying high voltage cable for a new substation installation. This should start by April 1 and continue for 15 working days.

Lastly, from March Road via the Maltings to the A98 east of Station Cottages, Buckie, Scottish Hydro Power Distribution are envisaging finish reconducto work by March 24
