Buckie road to close to allow Scottish Water repair work





A residential road is due to be closed later this coming week to allow repairs to a fire hydrant.

Scottish Water aim to close Barhill Road in Buckie at Number 31 from Thursday until the following day in order to fix a fire hydrant frame and lid which is causing damage to the surrounding surface due to being loose.

Drivers are recommended to use adjacent streets to avoid the closure.

The firm are also due to be working across town at Shearer Avenue until April 18 to conduct ironworks repairs. A prohibition of waiting order will be in force between Milton Drive and 1 Shearer Avenue.

At 2 Turner Street, Buckie, Moray Council are set to commence work over Tuesday or Wednesday for three working days to install a dropped kerb.

At 26 Findlater Court, Cullen Scottish Water hope to have finished work to fix a burst water main by the end of the coming week.

Over at 1 Patrol Place in Portknockie, the company are scheduled to be working through the week to repair a burst pipe. This work may run until Monday, April 21.

Scottish Hydro Electric Power Distribution are to be working outside the substation opposite the entrance to Morven Crescent from Monday for a working day

South of the Roman Camp Woods on the B9106 between the A96 Spey Bay roundabout and Bogmoor Road the local authority plan to begin work to reset the gully over Monday and Tuesday for three working days.

Nearby, at 19 Bogmoor Road, Openreach plan to have completed a maintenance dig by the middle of the week.
