Buckie road set to reopen after completion of emergency roadworks by Scottish Water





A local road is set to reopen this Monday after the completion of emergency roadworks by Scottish Water.

Seaview Road at the junction of John Street in Buckie closed on Friday to allow replacement of a manhole cover. The lid had sunk inside frame causing trip hazard, with edges of frame protruding. The cover lies directly on wheel line of traffic.

Until completion of the replacement, a diversion is in place as follows - Seaview Road, James Street, St Peter's Road, Land Street and back onto Seaview Road.

In Findochty, Scottish Gas Network (SGN) are due to begin work at some point between this Monday and March 4 outside 2-4 Station Road for 10 working days to make alterations to a new gas service.

Moray Council are set to finish work this Tuesday on work to install a replacement sign pole on the north side verge heading east from Strathlene golf course.

Work to repair carriageway damage caused by torrential rain on Buckie’s McLaren’s Brae continues.

The local authority are planning on commencing footpath repair work at 61-63 High Street, Buckie at some point between February 25 and March 24. It is envisaged that the work will last four working days.

Footway repairs are also on the cards outside 3 Police Lane in Buckie, scheduled for a March 26-27 start for three working days.

Work to fix a pipe collapse outside 55 The Yardie by Scottish Water should be finished by this Thursday.

Scottish Water will also be outside 44 Great Western Road to fix a manhole cover. Work is scheduled to have started by Monday for three working days.

Openreach aim to complete work to clear a duct blockage outside 4 Ewing Crescent, Buckie by close of play Monday.

Over at 8 Duke street, Portgordon Scottish Water are due to be undertaking urgent waste repairs until March 3.

Heading out of Portgordon along the A990 towards the A98, the council are due to begin water mains work by February 27 for 10 working days.
