Rhea Stephen is our Primary Pupil of the Year at Moray and Banffshire Heroes
RHEA Stephen is a little hero who has brought sunshine into children's lives for the last four years.
The nine-year-old Macduff Primary pupil has made Christmas treat bags each year which she has sold to raise money for the Brighter Horizons charity which works with children in Zimbabwe.
She has raised more than £3000 and is already planning her next fundraiser this Christmas.
Rhea was named the Primary Pupil of the Year at the Moray and Banffshire Heroes Awards on Thursday night at the Mansefield Hotel in Elgin. The award was sponsored by AD Walker funeral director.
Rhea said: "That feels really good. This is the first trophy I have ever got. It feels like I am doing something good for people around the world."
The youngster, with the help of her mum Tamara, spends a long time putting the treat bags together, with the help of donations from family, friends and local businesses.
"They took hours and hours, and my hands would get sore. I loved it.
"Every year we are trying to beat our score of money. I have already thought of some ideas in my head for this year.
Mum Tamara said: "I am so proud. She just thinks of everybody else before herself all the time."
