POLICE are investigating the theft of construction tools from the site of the Fochabers bypass.

The items, valued at a low four-figure sum, were taken from an area near to the Baxter’s complex, at Mosstodloch, at some point over the Bank Holiday weekend.

It is believed they were stolen between 3pm on April 28 and 8.30am on May 3.

Witnesses to any unusual activity on the construction site over the weekend are asked to come forward.

Anyone with information can contact Grampian Police on 0845 600 5 700 or, to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
