MORAY schools joined Scottish Opera to put on a "proper show".
Pupils at Mosstowie and Hopeman Primary School played a key role in a spooky production as part of Scottish Opera's outreach programme.
Taking part in a show named The Curse of MacCabbra Opera House, pupils learned the secrets of a haunted Scottish opera house.
Mosstowie Primary's event took place in Miltonduff Hall and local schools Logie and Alves Primary also attended.
Head teacher Garry Forgie said: "It was a fantastic event, where groups from all different schools came together.
"It really was a proper show, which all parents were invited to and P1-3 pupils came to during the dress rehearsal.
"There was a crowd of 70 people both times it was performed, and it was lovely.
"We became one big school."
Mr Forgie said he is already thinking about next year and what Scottish Opera will perform next.
He said: "It's just a great day and for the kids it is always a little bit special.
"I think it's a new show next year too.
"I am excited to see what they will do next because this one has been one of my favourites."
A Hopeman Primary spokesperson said this year's shows at the Hopeman Memorial Hall made for a "wonderful day".
The spokesperson said: "The families and friends of Primaries 5, 6 and 7 were wowed by the performance of The Curse of MacCabbra Opera House at Hopeman Memorial Hall.
"The children had a wonderful day preparing for the performance with the team from Scottish Opera.
"The Scottish Opera visits have become an annual part of our curriculum at Hopeman Primary.
"It is such a rich learning experience and is enjoyed by the whole school and our families."
Hopeman pupils also said they had a great time at the event.
Ava Burton said: “I really liked the experience – especially the costumes, the songs and the actions.
"This was my first one and I’m already looking forward to doing it again next year!”
Hanalei Whittle said the visit was a "very special experience".
She said: “Scottish Opera has been a very special experience for me and I am sad that next year will be my last year.
"Learning the songs in school was fun and then when we performed on the day I felt the experience was brought to life."
