New bus timetable published for Moray

Stagecoach Bluebird has provided an updated bus timetable for its Moray services from this Monday onwards.

The company says any changes are in response to government advice on avoiding non-essential travel.

It has stated that following an analysis of the demand for bus services in the area since the latest lockdown began on Boxing Day, the frequency of most services will be reduced.

However it adds that it will continue to try cater for essential shopping trips and to allow key workers to commute by bus.

Peter Knight, Stagecoach Bluebird's managing director, said: "Our services have kept communities connected throughout the pandemic.

"We have made the difficult decision to reduce some of our services in line with the stay-at-home advice from the Scottish Government.

"I'm extremely proud of the way in way our team across Aberdeenshire and Moray has worked together to ensure that we can continue to deliver our services in the most challenging of times.

"They are key workers too and I would like to thank them for their continued support and resilience."
