Murder investigation launched after woman found dead in Ealing

A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead at a property in west London.

Police were called to an address on Castlebar Road in Ealing at 3.45pm on Monday following reports of an unresponsive woman.

The victim, believed to be in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

She has yet to be formally identified, the Metropolitan Police said.

A man, also in his 40s, has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being held at a west London police station.

Inquiries are ongoing and a crime scene remains in place around the address, the force said.
