A man has been arrested in relation to two deliberate fires in Edinburgh.

Police said the wilful fire-raising took place on Thursday March 6 at Albert Street and then on Sunday March 16 at Milton Road East, both in the north of the city.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged wilful fire-raising and reset of a stolen vehicle.

Police Scotland Detective Superintendent Paul Grainger said: “I want to reassure the community that we are continuing to work on this investigation and this is just one of many arrests over the coming weeks.”

“If you have any information that can assist our investigation, please get in touch.”
