Moray Memories will look back at The Northern Scot archives every Friday, with pictures and articles from events in years gone by in Moray. Can you spot anyone you recognise in any of the pictures, or recognise any of these shops? Make sure to join the conversation on our Facebook and tag anyone you recognise in the comments.

This week we travel back to the 1998 Moray Music Festival. The bi-annual Moray Music Festival brought together schools from across Moray to compete in a variety of musical disciplines - including creative music making, singing, Scottish country dancing, bagpipes and chanters, and brass. The event spanned eight days and was held at five venues in central Elgin including the Town Hall, the Gallery at Elgin Library and Elgin Community Centre.
