MacMoray Festival line-up complete as The Skids and Scooty and the Skyhooks added to main stage





The final two acts playing on the main stage at MacMoray Festival 2025 have been announced.

Punk-rock band The Skids and Scooty and the Skyhooks will be playing at the Elgin event, which takes place on April 19 and 20.

Scooty and the Skyhooks - returning after a previous appearance - will play on the Saturday, with The Skids to appear on the Sunday.

The Skids were formed in Fife in 1977 - and returned for a 40th anniversary tour in 2016 with original lead singer Richard Jobson, who continues to lead the band to this day.

The new announcements take the total number of main stage acts to 16 - with to play on the second stage over the course of two days.

The line-up for Saturday, April 19 is: Vengaboys; Red Hot Chilli Pipers; Scooty and the Skyhooks; Lasgo; Bay City Rollers; Torridon; Ultrabeat and Black Lace.

Sunday, April 20 is: Nathan Evans and the Saint Phnx Band; The Skids; Showaddywaddy; Skerryvore; N-Trance; 911; Baccara and Tweed.

A further 13 bands will play on the second stage - with Tweed also having a second stage set, in addition to appearing on the main stage.

Second stage, Saturday 19: Moray Concert Brass; Verii; Chris Grant; Sold on Soul; Iodynes; Folk’d Up and Bad Actress.

Sunday 20: Ross Anderson; Monza Express; Tweed; The Craig Robertson Band; Davy Cowan; MacTa; The Side.

This year’s MacMoray is the event’s fifth running. It attracts around 10,000 visitors per day. At the minute, it’s planned to be the final event.
