Shrek performance from Elgin Musical Theatre a hit with Moray crowds
A theatre group wowed Moray crowds with a great musical show based on modern classic family film Shrek.
Performers from Elgin Musical Theatre were pictured in the heat of performance on stage at Elgin Town Hall.
Elgin Academy drama teacher Callum McLeod had to spend two-and-a-half hours each day, during the run between March 5 and March 8, being transformed into the main character with make up and prosthetics.
The show was based on the first of the Shrek movies at Elgin Town Hall and took more than eight months of dedicated hard work and rehearsals.
Ahead of the show, Callum said: “It’s been a big commitment for everyone - two nights a week plus, more recently, all day each Sunday.
“But it’s also been a lot of fun.”
Shrek the Musical is directed by Janie Abbott and includes a large cast of 55, who are aged between 14 and 81.
