A HOT 24.6 degrees Celsius was enough for Kinloss to be the hottest place in the United Kingdom yesterday.
The Met Office reported that, at 2.30pm on Monday, the Moray village was the warmest place in the whole country.
The 24.6 degrees Celsius recorded was also the warmest temperature in the UK so far in 2021.
However, after just a few hours – Kinloss has been bumped down to third.
Northolt in the south of England has recorded a temperature of 24.8 degrees Celsius, with Kinlochewe in the Highlands topping 25 degrees Celsius this afternoon.
The temperature across Moray is set to remain above 20 degrees Celsius for the vast majority of this week.
