Elgin High Street shop cordoned off as Police Scotland launch investigation into break-in





A shop has been closed off as police carry out investigations after a reported break-in overnight.

Officers were spotted inside Elgin Store on the town’s high street today searching the shop for evidence.

The investigation was launched after a window to the shop was smashed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At about 8am on Monday, April 14, police received a report of a break-in at a shop in High Street, Elgin.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
