Elgin free Christmas parking at St Giles multi-storey after 3pm





Free parking between 3pm and 6pm will begin this weekend at Elgin’s St Giles multi-storey.

The Free After Three initiative starts on Saturday, November 23, to coincide with the Elgin BID Christmas lights switch-on, then continue to run until Saturday, December 28.

In its tenth year, the Moray Council measure aims to encourage residents and visitors to shop local at Christmas.

Marc Macrae, chair of the council’s economic growth committee, Cllr said: “The scheme is ideal to take advantage of at this time of year.

“Whether you’re coming to see the lights switch on or popping in for some last minute gifts nearer to Christmas, I know our local businesses will appreciate your support this festive period.”
