Macduff car crash sees four teenagers taken to hospital





Four teenagers have been taken to hospital following a car crash in a north-east town in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The incident, which took place at Union Road in Macduff and involved one car, was reported to police at around 3am.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 3am on Sunday, September 8, 2024, officers were called to a report of a one car crash in Union Road, Macduff.

“Emergency services attended and three men aged 17, 18 and 19 and 18-year-old woman were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”

Police have confirmed that Union Road has reopened following the incident.
