Elgin’s Scotia Medical Group receives £1000 donation from Movement for Good Awards
A medical group is ‘extremely grateful’ after receiving a four-figure donation.
Scotia Medical group, based in Elgin have received a £1000 funding boost from Benefact Group’s Movement for Good Awards.
The donation is to support the vital work they do for the community.
Chairman of Scotia Medical Group, Daniel Wood, said: “We are extremely grateful for the donation.
“As a small charity, donations like this make a huge difference and will allow us to provide enhanced training to our amazing volunteers.
“Scotia Medical Group is a small charity based in the north-east of Scotland and has the aim of providing life-saving training to members of the public.
“We deliver first aid training to communities and provide first class event medical services with our volunteers who range from first aiders to health care practitioners.”
The Scotia Medical Group delivers first aid training to the community, providing medical services with volunteers.
The Donations will directly support the charity’s training of volunteers to First Response Emergency Care Level 3 (FREC3).
The charity believes that training volunteers to a higher level of first aid training will enable them to provide the best care to patients in the community.
Group chief executive at Benefact Group added: “We know that £1000 can make a huge difference to the incredible work that charities do and we’re looking forward to seeing how this financial boost will change lives for the better.
Benefact Group have donated more than £1 million to charities throughout the year, donating over £200 million to charities since 2014.
