Elgin Town Hall will be staging two shows in the same week as restrictions on live events lift in Scotland on August 9.

The Circus of Horrors will be in town on Tuesday, August 10.

Then, on Friday, August 13, it will be the turn of The Old Time Sailors.

Capacity audiences of more than 500 will be able to watch both shows.

Donnie Squair, the town hall's director of events, said: "We've had no choice but to reschedule some shows four or five times since the pandemic began.

"That has understandably left a lot of people disappointed, including the acts themselves.

"It will be very nice to welcome back full audiences again after so long."

The Circus of Horrors was founded at the Glastonbury Festival in 1995 and have since been semi-finalists on Britain's Got Talent.

Now, more than a quarter of the century later, they are still touring all over the world, combining horror, black comedy and rock and roll with circus acts.

Old Time Sailors is a flashmob musical that takes the audience back in time to the 19th century.

Everyone gets a copy of the lyrics and the chance to become a sailor for one epic night.
