Elgin Asda staff member up for company award after innovative idea





A MEMBER of staff at Asda in Elgin has been nominated for an award at the retailer's annual prize giving ceremony.

Stuart Hodgson, who works on counters, is in the running to win the company's Bright Idea of the Year Award at the Asda Awards.

Stuart came up with the idea of creating an app for the pizza counter at Asda, which allows customers to order on their mobile and save time.

The idea has been on trial in Stevenage and is currently under review.

Stuart will be in attendance at the Asda Awards, which will take place in Birmingham at the end of September.

The awards are put on to recognise and celebrate the company's staff. The winner of each category will receive $2000 in 'star points'.
