Springfield Properties hope to turn former Pinegrove Hotel site in Elgin into flats





A developer has submitted proposals to transform an eyesore brownfield site into homes.

Springfield Properties is seeking planning permission to build eight flats upon an area of derelict land where the Pinegrove Hotel once stood.

The area has lain vacant since 2019.

Following the closure of the hotel, which was located on the Pinefield industrial estate, the building was later occupied by the Elgin Community Church.

However, it was knocked down in 2019, and the site has been vacant ever since.

Springfield are looking for Moray Council to grant permission for eight two-bedroom flats, as well as parking spaces for 18 vehicles, a communal drying area and two bin stores.
