Climate change march in Lhanbryde
ABOUT 200 people took part in a climate change march organised by the pupils at Lhanbryde Primary.
The whole school was involved, with some of the parents joining in on the day.
Year 7 pupils Alex Rattray. Aaron McPherson and Alan Brown, who are all aged 11, played key roles in the preparations.
Explaining the reasons for the march, Alex said: "The world has been here for many generations but if we're going to keep being here we have to keep it safe and clean.
"We decided to do something to help make people in Lhanbryde more aware."
Teacher Michelle Anderson said the idea for the march had came from the children themselves.
She said: "The pupils have been following the issue of climate change on Newsround and decided they wanted to do what they could.
"They made posters to highlight the event and helped to organise things on the day. They put a lot of work into this."
