BUCKIE High School has suffered several thousand pounds of damage during an attack of vandalism.

Several windows were smashed in the attack which happened between 9pm last Thursday and 6am the next day.

Two Citroen cars were also damaged elsewhere in the West Cathcart Street area.

Police are also appealing for information following a break-in to an unnamed premises nearby during which several bottles of alcohol were stolen.

PC Linzi Robertson, who is investing the crimes, said: "We are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to come forward.

"Enquiries are ongoing and we are keeping an open mind as to links between the crimes."
