Gordon Brailsford, the restaurant’s owner, stated the award was a testament to all their hard work and dedication.

He said: “This is undoubtedly for them – our talented and hardworking kitchen team, the charming and demure front of house team, our youthful management and meticulous admin.

“It’s the perfect recipe of people. I want to say thank-you to them publicly, as well as to our wonderful and loyal guests and to our quality suppliers.

“Of course, awards and accolades don't pay the bills, and they don't guarantee business security. They do, however, make the challenges of hospitality much more palatable as everyone loves a pat on the back.

“We are thrilled, to say the least.”
