Lyall Booth replicated his maiden City goal against Forfar last season by netting against the same opponents with a header early in the second half to put the visitors ahead.

Forfar captain Stuart Morrison levelled within ten minutes, heading home from a free kick.

The match became towsy in the later stages with both sets of players getting involved in a heated dispute.

City’s second straight draw, after starting with two wins, sees them sitting in fourth spot with a game in hand to play against Spartans later this month.

The Black and Whites have a second blank weekend of the season from league action this Saturday.

Instead, they make the trip to League 1 Kelty Hearts in the third round of the SPFL Trust trophy.
