Woman driver charged after two OAPs hospitlised

A WOMAN has been charged following a serious crash yesterday morning which required two elderly people to be taken to hospital outwith Moray.

The collision happened in Station Road, Elgin at about 10.20am.

A police spokesman said: "A 43-year-old woman has been charged in relation to alleged road traffic offences.

"She will be reported to the procurator fiscal and is anticipated to appear at court at a later date.

"A man and a woman aged in their 80s were injured in the collision and were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary."
