The event, which was founded by the late James M Alexander in 1995, has showcased the very best of Scottish talent in Fochabers for more than two decades and will do so again from July 21 to July 23 next year.

A trio of multi-award winning acts have already been added to the line-up with Skerryvore, Celtic supergroup Mànran and folk singer Siobhan Miller all committing to the event.

The return of the event this year saw around 4,000 people pass through the gates to enjoy the music of more than 70 musicians across 39 performances.

Early bird tickets for this year's event go on sale today, Friday December 2, at 12pm but only a limited number have been made available.

Ashleigh McGregor, Speyfest Chair, said: "We’re so pleased to be back in full force for 2023 and have a line-up of incredible acts on offer, including the incredible Skerryvore, Mànran and Siobhan Miller, with many more to be revealed.

"Early bird tickets are on sale now for all three days of entertainment and activities. It’s going to be brilliant to welcome audiences old and new to the north-east for a weekend they won't forget – we are counting down the days to summer already."

Skerryvore played at the festival last year and said they are "delighted" to be performing again this year.

Martin Gillespie of Skerryvore said: "It was just brilliant to perform at Speyfest last year for their 25th anniversary and we’re delighted to be returning again and making this year just as special.

"It is a really fantastic festival with a magic atmosphere and we’re all looking forward to returning to Fochabers and taking to the stage."

Gary Innes of Mànran said: "We can’t wait to return to Speyfest once more. We last played the festival in 2019 and it’s always a highlight on the events calendar.

"It will be brilliant to return to put on a fantastic show for the Moray crowd – we’ll see you all next summer."

Siobhan Miller added: "I can't wait to return with my band to Speyfest festival next year.

"I have great memories of performing a few years ago and I'm really looking forward to playing songs from my new album 'Bloom' to the audience in Fochabers alongside old favourites.

"It's such a beautiful part of the world and this is one of my favourite festivals in Scotland to be a part of."

The full line-up will be revealed in Spring 2023 with the event's packed programme set to also feature music workshops, a craft fair, whisky and gin tastings and a Celtic Kirk service.

Early bird tickets are priced at £100 each.
