Portgordon vandalism incident investigated by police

Police officers are appealing for information following a report of vandalism at a property in Portgordon.

The incident happened around 12.45pm on Wednesday, May 1 on Stewart Street when two men smashed a window.

Enquiries suggest that the suspects arrived in a cream-coloured small car and made off at speed in the direction of Spey Bay.

PC Abbey Emmett said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to speak to anyone in the area who may have seen what happened.

“We believe there was a group of women walkers who may have witnessed the incident and we are asking them to come forward.

“If you can also check any private CCTV or dash-cam footage and if you have information that could assist then please get in touch.”

Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0790 of Thursday, May 2.
