Ian Phillips is new regional MD of Moray firm Robertson Construction Northern

Following the retirement of Frank Reid after 43 years of service, Ian Phillips has become the regional managing director of Robertson Construction Northern.
With over three decades of experience in the industry, Ian’s appointment comes six years after he joined the Elgin-based business as its operations director.
He has previously played an instrumental role in several high-profile projects within the region, including the £24million Inverness Justice Centre, the £60million accommodation upgrade at RAF Lossiemouth and developments at The Macallan.
Speaking of his appointment, he said: “Robertson Construction Northern is a successful business with a strong customer base and an excellent team. I’m taking on this role at an exciting time for our sector when we are working with our customers to deliver quality projects, while helping them achieve their own net zero targets through decarbonisation and new build programmes.
“The built environment makes a significant contribution to the regional economy, and we will continue to ensure that we are at the fore of innovation, digital technology, and modern methods of construction.
“Alongside the ongoing satisfaction of our customers, my number one priority is the health and wellbeing of everyone associated with our business.”
