Dr Gray’s Hospital theatre staff win Healthcare Hero at Moray and Banffshire Heroes

THE theatre staff at Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin collectively won the Healthcare Hero award.

Lesley Gow, nurse manager for the surgical team at the district hospital, accepted the award on behalf of more than 100 staff at the Moray and Banffshire Heroes Awards last Thursday night at the Banff Springs Hotel in Banff.

From their operation to recovery in a ward, she said staff were committed to their patients and getting them home safely.

Of the award, she said: “I just delighted and ecstatic for the whole team because they are amazing and absolutely deserve it.”

Also nominated in the category sponsored by Specsavers were the Moray Coast district nursing team.
